Gabriela Tan

Gabriela Tan is a driven and passionate individual who recently relocated from Canada to Ohio to pursue her dreams in aviation. She's currently working toward her Private Pilot License at Avit Flight Academy in Wadsworth, Ohio. To fund her dreams of becoming an airline pilot, Gabriela balances her time between her aviation training and her work as a Content Marketer and Freelance Copywriter.

Her passion for aviation was ignited when she saw women of all races featured as pilots in a United Aviate video. This moment inspired her to chase her dreams in the skies. After earning her private pilot license, Gabriela plans to volunteer as a pilot for organizations like Pilots N Paws, all while building her flight hours and working toward her Instrument Rating and Commercial Pilot License. Actively involved in her local Women in Aviation International (WAI) and 99s chapters, Gabriela is excited to connect with even more aviation enthusiasts by joining the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and Professional Asian Pilots Association (PAPA) soon. Seeing other female pilots successfully advance in their aviation careers is what drives and inspires her every day, fueling her determination to make her own mark in the world of aviation.

From telling herself, "One day," she took the leap, made it "Day One,” and hasn't looked back since.
