The Debbie Franceus Memorial Aviation Foundation and Scholarship Program was founded in 2023 to award women the opportunity to advance themselves in their desire to pursue their dreams in aviation.
- Open to all active female aviation students at supporting airports and flight schools/clubs*, working toward PPL or an advanced rating.
- Must have a current FAA Medical Certificate or covered under Basic Med provisions.
- Must be or become a current member of The Ninety-Nines, Inc., International Organization of Women Pilots.
- Must have a financial need.
- 2024 scholarship applications will be available beginning April 1, 2024, via the website.
- Applications must be submitted no later than June 15, 2024.
- In 2024, multiple $1000 or greater scholarships will be awarded on Saturday July 13, 2024 during “Debbie Franceus Memorial Aviation Scholarship Week”.
- Larger scholarship $ amounts may be awarded in 2024 based on 2024 Foundation financial strength. 2024 scholarship amounts will be announced April 1, 2024.
- Currently, the 2024 Debbie Franceus Memorial Aviation Scholarship is open to all female applicants at supporting flight schools/clubs* throughout the Midwest.
- All funds donated will provide support of the Foundations aviation scholarships and administration of scholarships.
* 2024 Flight Schools/Clubs supporting the Foundation's scholarship awareness program include a variety of selected flight schools/clubs in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Kentucky.
